It is said that it is better to give than it is to receive. In MAHKO'S GIFT, Mahko Anaya sets out to settle an old score and give the gift of a good life to the newest member of his family.
After the scores are settled, Mahko is offered a gift that will either change his life, or end it. His lawyer, and only friend, Ian Christian calls the offer, “... a prenup with death.”
In any organization there is always one man or woman who is called on to solve the most difficult problems—the problems no one else can, or will, address. This person is often called a “Firefighter.”
The towns on the Texas/Mexican border are on fire, fueled by drugs, guns and drug money. The Mexican Army is out-manned and out-gunned. The storm of violence, death, drugs, and intimidation is moving north like a Texas wildfire after years of drought. There is a need for a firefighter, and Mahko Anaya may be the only one in the country with the skills to fight this fire.

The third book in the Mahko series continues to improve in action, plot and character. However, I strongly feel that new readers must read the first two as printed in order to fully appreciate "Gift." Mahko has compared most positively to Tarzan and John Carter in his own interpretation of morality - the magnificent savage in a modern politically correct age. He is a refreshing reminder of when good was good and bad was bad and the bad were dealth with quickly and affirmatively. In this book, Mahko goes after Mexican drug cartels in a most effective way. The read is entertaining and best suited for recreational escapism. I urge the author to continue with the series although I am interested in seeing how the plot develops from the end of the last book. I do not believe that Mahko would find it appropriate that another tale not be woven.Product details

Mahko Gift Mahko Knife Book 3 edition by John O'Dowd Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
The third in the series is a great follow on and continues to tell the story. There must be a next book to continue to expand the plots. I agree with other reviews that you have to start at the beginning of the series and follow it though to appreciate the story line. Read all three and hopefully, the fourth.
Loved it! Not sure where it will go now but I'll be looking forward to finding out what Mahko does next.
Great read, and hopefully, not the final Mahko adventure. O'Dowd is a marvelous storyteller, and in Mahko, Ian and the others, he has assembled a very interesting group of characters . The entire three book Mahko series held my interest from start to finish. Looking forward to the next Mahko book.
This is the third released book in the Mahko series. I've read and thoroughly enjoyed each one. In my first review I compared Mahko to Clancy's John Clark and Child's Jack Reacher characters - easily two of my favorite genre leads, but he certainly isn't a native american clone of these characters. Mahko has his own motivations, character traits and even sense of humor. This was a strong continuation to the series. I sincerely hope it isn't the last.
